Father Bowles, who served at St. John the Baptist Church as a parochial vicar from 2004 until his 2020 retirement, passed away on July 27 in North Miami. He was a Council 3080 Knight. He was born March 6, 1934 in Chicago and ordained a priest January 19, 1991 for the Diocese of New Ulm, Minnesota. His Funeral Mass was celebrated by Archbishop Wenski at St. John the Baptist on August 4, with burial following at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Fr. Bowles belonged to the Knights of Columbus since 19__, and became a 4th Degree Sir Knight in 19__. Here is the Archdiocese story about him, and the archbishop’s homily from the funeral.
